Welcome to Zororo (Zulu for ‘rest’), a tranquil and relaxing haven set in the green heart of Central Portugal’s Beira region, frequently described as the most striking rural area of the country. Located at the edge of a traditional village in the Serra Lousa hills, with the Ceira River 300 meters down the valley, we offer the option of half-board luxury accommodation exclusively to adults who enjoy time away from the stresses of everyday life (and children!) in the company of others who appreciate delicious food, great local wine and absorbing conversation in well appointed surroundings.

Our 5 double bedrooms are all en-suite, generously proportioned, air-conditioned and centrally heated, each having a balcony with views across the valley or to the forest. There is a large lounge and dining room, with contemporary furniture over Italian marble flooring, linked by a spectacular handmade double spiral staircase of wrought iron. Guests have use of a huge games room with a pool table, football table, large LCD TV (including UK channels), DVD's, plus board games, books, etc. Outside in the garden is our new 12-metre swimming pool with mosaic sun bathing area, a hard surface tennis court and our own 300 plant vineyard.

Your stay includes breakfast and a mouth-watering three course evening meal, using seasonal local ingredients and regional Portuguese dishes, with aperitifs, wine (including our own reds), liquors and coffee, all taken in the company of your hosts, Kevin and Tanaka.
The hills and valleys surrounding us are heavily wooded and dotted with stone built cottages and hamlets….the pace of life here hasn't changed much for a long time. Walks through un spoilt pine, chestnut, and eucalyptus forests abound, whilst the enchanting village of Gois, with its ancient bridge and cobbled streets, is just 5 minutes away. Within a 30-minute drive are the more urbane delights of the University City of Coimbra, with modern and traditional shopping, museums, cathedral and river excursions. The quiet sandy and dune-backed beaches of the Silver Coast are around a 1½ hours drive due west, the spectacular Serra do Estrela National Park the same distance east.
