Self-Catering Apartments nr. Tabua, Central Beiras Region Quinta do Vale offers comfortable, inexpensive, self-catering apartments situated in a beautiful rural area. For only €120 per apartment for 2 people per week At Quinta do Vale there is a choice of two different styles of self-catering accommodation. One is a newly built, open-plan studio apartment. Which has a double bed, kitchen with gas cooker, and toilet & shower room. This apartment has its own private entrance with secluded patio area. The second is a renovated 200-year-old cottage apartment, which is accessed from inside the house. Double bedroom (up a flight of wooden steps), toilet & shower room, kitchen with gas hob & large wood burning oven, and a 'snug' living area with open log fireplace. This part of the house has exposed wooden beams, granite stone walls and retains many of its original features. It really is a very authentic & cosy apartment. Both of these apartments have full access to a large comfortable lounge area that has TV with videos and DVD's. Music's available through CD's, a guitar and even a piano! A real artistically inspired get-together sort of place. There's also a good selection of books to just sit down unwind and relax with. Adjoining the lounge is a games room, which has a pool table, dart board, etc. There are several patio areas, a BBQ with covered dining area, a swimming/splash pool, and an abundance of land to explore.
Quinta do Vale is set amongst terraced land of olive and fruit trees, vines and shrubs. It is situated in a beautiful rural area just 5 minutes drive from Tabua in the Central Beiras region of Portugal. Nearby is the River Mondego where you can go fishing, swimming, hire a canoe or just enjoy the scenery. There are many fascinating places to visit in this region whether it be local traditional towns with their weekly markets; the Serra da Estrela mountain range where you can go skiing; Figueira da Foz with it's large expanse of beach; the historic city of Coimbra; the university town of Viseu; or the Caramulo Art Gallery & Car Museum - fantastically set within the Caramulo Mountain Range. There really is something to appeal to everyone. But closer to Quinta do Vale there are lovely walks to be had down the valley, small tracks to follow, streams to paddle in, and a sense of complete peace and tranquility that is truly hard to beat.
